Do I need a Radon inspection?

This is a standard offering by most home inspectors. I am a certified PA radon inspector.  As part of your home inspection we can also offer a radon inspection.

What is Radon?

Radon is a radioactive gas. It is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and chemically inert. Unless you test for it, there is no way of telling how much is present.

Is there an acceptable level of Radon?

The EPA states that any radon exposure carries some risk; no level of radon exposure is safe. However, the EPA strongly recommends homes be fixed if an occupant’s long-term exposure will average 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher.
